Collision and Incident Reporting
According to recent stats by the government of Canada, commercial vehicles were involved in 8% of the total collisions that occurred between 2012-2021. Furthermore, companies everyday face non-collision related incidents, such as, but not limited to, vehicular breakdowns and or mal loading practices. As such, it is important to ensure that employees have good understanding as to the “know how” in case of an unforeseen incident. One such relevant step is that of clear and accurate collision and incident reporting.
At Vaughan Driver Training Centre, we offer interactive training for members of your team to boost awareness regarding the importance of proper collision and incident reporting. The following key points of this course are:
- What is a collision report vs. an incident report vs. a police report.
- When a collision report is required by law to be filed.
- The importance of timely communication with supervisors.
- Methods for which one can utilize in collecting accurate information at the scene of a collision or incident.
- At-fault vs. not-at-fault vehicular collisions.
Overall, our objective with administering this course is to ensure that your team has a clear understanding of the importance of proper and timely incident reporting; while instilling the importance of intentional communication skills between employers and employees when an incident occurs.
