In-Vehicle Driving Assessment
This in-vehicle assessment is ideal for new hires and existing employees that require an evaluation of their driving, as requested by their employer. The purpose is to uncover and report any incorrect and/or unsafe habits when behind the wheel that may have been developed over the years. Furthermore, it’s also an opportunity to provide feedback of where the driver may need improvement.
The assessment begins with a pre-trip inspection of the vehicle, followed by an evaluation of the driver’s competent and safe handling of a motor vehicle while in different traffic settings (i.e., city, intersections, highways, rural, etc.). The evaluation itself uses a Canadian based defensive driving criteria to evaluate backing techniques, lane changes, merges, emergency roadside stops, etc. The assessment then concludes by debriefing the driver of their overall performance and, when needed, make aware of any bad driving habits and how to correct them.
